Francesco is a Medical Biotechnologist with an expertise in statistical genetics and computational biology. He is an Associate Professor of Bioinformatics at the Università degli Studi di Pavia where he leads the Computational Genomics Laboratory.
Francesco has a broad range of experiences within academia and industry. He has worked at UCL in UK, in Denmark at Aarhus University first and then in QIAGEN Digital Insight, and finally again in UK for the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency before moving to Pavia.
Francesco is always eager to build projects in his areas of expertise and is dedicated to advancing precision medicine and public health.
He has contributed to science policy expert groups and participated in initiatives for responsible innovation.
