Francesco Baschieri is an Italian entrepreneur and manager who currently serves as the CEO of Voxnest, a podcasting and adtech company owned by the U.S. broadcaster iHeartMedia Inc. (Nasdaq:IHRT), managing the products Spreaker and BlogTalkRadio.
In 2010, Baschieri founded Spreaker, a leading platform for creating and monetizing podcasts. In 2017, following the merger between Spreaker and BlogTalkRadio, he also assumed the role of CEO of the resulting merged company, Voxnest, specializing in the development and marketing of technologies for audio publishing and adtech.
Before Spreaker, Baschieri co-founded Waymedia Proximity, a company developing equipment for Proximity Marketing via Bluetooth and Wifi, where he served as CEO until its acquisition by a Milanese group.
Prior to his entrepreneurial ventures, Baschieri held various positions such as Director of Operations, Programme Manager, and Project Manager in different companies. For several years, he was a part-time lecturer for the “Digital Entrepreneurship” module at the University of Bologna (Alma Mater Studiorum – Università di Bologna) and delivered lectures at the Bologna Business School - Università di Bologna and CASS University of London on the topic of digital entrepreneurship.
He holds a degree in computer engineering from the University of Bologna Law Review and resides in New York, USA.
