Caterina earned a Bachelor's degree in Physics and a Master's degree in Physics of Fundamental Interaction from the Università di Pisa. Subsequently, she obtained her PhD in Physics with honors (cum Laude) from Scuola Normale Superiore in Pisa in 2014.
Starting in 2015, she held the position of Distinguished Researcher at Fermilab LHC Physics Center and also served as a Panofsky Fellow at SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory.
As of 2022, she assumed the role of Assistant Professor at Stanford University.
